The Inspection Insider
You know you did a great job…
But reviews don’t magically appear because you “earned them.” Most clients simply forget, get busy, or don’t know what to write.
This week’s play is a 3-line review ask that feels natural, takes 60 seconds, and gets posted.
Let’s get started!
⏩ What to do

Google Review
Send a short review request using a specific moment + simple instruction + direct link.
Step 1
Create your Google review link and save it as a shortcut (notes / text replacement).
Step 2
Send the 3-line ask at the best time: after the inspection (when you’ve delivered value) and before life gets busy.
Step 3
Make it stupid-easy: include the link + one prompt so they don’t stare at a blank screen.
💻How to do it
Text framework (3 lines)
Line 1: Context
“Hey ___, glad we could help you out at [address] yesterday.”
Line 2: Value
“If you have 30 seconds, would you leave a quick Google review? It really helps a local inspector.”
Line 3: Easy next step
“Here’s the link: [REVIEW LINK] — even 1 sentence like ‘Ron was thorough and explained things clearly’ is perfect.”
Email framework
Subject formula:
“Quick favor? (30 seconds)”
3-line body structure:
Thank you + specific moment (“appreciated you walking through the issues with me”)
Simple ask (“Would you leave a Google review?”)
Link + “one sentence is plenty” + example sentence
💲Why It Works
Reviews happen when you remove friction
Reason #1
People don’t avoid reviews because they’re mean—they avoid them because it feels like work. You’re giving them the shortest path.
Reason #2
The example sentence solves the “what do I even say?” problem. Once they start typing, they finish.
📈Do This Today
Build your Review Ask Kit
In one note on your phone, save:
Your review link
3 example sentences (rotate them)
“Ron was thorough and explained everything clearly.”
“The report was easy to understand and helped us prioritize repairs.”
“Professional, on time, and caught issues we would’ve missed.”
Now you can send a review ask in under a minute.
** If your booking system has an automated email sending feature use it to send the google review email automatically
🛠️Pro Tip
Don’t ask for a “5-star review.” Ask for an honest review.
It feels more trustworthy… and people still usually leave 5 stars if you earned it.
